Alert settings

Choose in-app, email, and browser push channels.

Open Settings → Alert settings — *"Choose how Mentor reaches you. Your alerts appear under the bell at the top of the screen."*

Channels

  • In the app (bell) — on by default
  • Email — on by default
  • Browser push — off until you enable a device

Browser push on this device

Choose Enable on this device and allow notifications when the browser asks. Then Send test push to verify — you should receive *"Web push is working."* Use Disable to turn the device off again.

If enabling fails, the message tells you why: *"This browser does not support web push."*, *"Browser permission was not granted."* (check the site permissions in your browser), or *"Browser alerts aren't set up on the server yet."* (your organization has not configured push).

On iPhone/iPad, add Mentor to your home screen first — see Mobile web and install.

Email summary

Pick Off, Daily, or Weekly. The digest email lists overdue work and expiring credentials — subject *"{Brand} — {n} items need attention"* — or confirms you are clear.

Quiet hours

Set Quiet hours start and Quiet hours end using 24-hour values from 0 to 23 (for example 22 to 7). *"Quiet hours pause non-urgent email."* In-app alerts still collect under the bell.

Test everything

Send a test alert raises an in-app notification titled Test notification so you can confirm the bell works end to end.
