Alerts and notifications

The Alerts bell in the top bar lists recent notifications. An unread count appears on the bell (capped at 9+) and refreshes about once a minute.

• Mark all read clears the unread state
• Settings opens your alert preferences
• Empty: You're all caught up.

What generates alerts

• Overdue digest — when work goes overdue or credentials are expiring, Mentor raises an in-app alert (for example *"3 overdue items"*) linking to Tasks, and can send a matching email summary.
• Test alerts — sent when you use Send a test alert or Send test push in settings, so you can confirm each channel works.

Invitations are email-only and do not appear under the bell.

Email summaries

The email digest uses your organization's brand name in the subject — for example *"{Brand} — 3 items need attention"* — or *"{Brand} — you're clear"* when nothing is overdue. Choose Off, Daily, or Weekly under Settings → Alert settings, where you can also set quiet hours and enable browser push. See Alert settings.
