Passkeys and security

Open Settings in the learner app. The Sign-in & security section manages how you prove it is you.

Passkeys

Passkeys let you sign in with Touch ID, Face ID, Windows Hello, or a security key instead of a password.

• Add passkey enrolls the device you are on — follow the browser prompt.
• Each passkey lists when it was added and last used; Remove deletes it (you will see Passkey removed.).
• Empty state: *"No passkeys on this account yet."*

Add passkeys from at least two devices so losing one does not lock you out.

Authenticator app (2FA)

The badge shows whether 2FA is On or Off. Manage 2FA opens your account security hub on the sign-in domain, where you can enroll or remove an authenticator (TOTP) app.

Recovery codes

One-time codes for when you lose your other factors. Generate codes creates a fresh set — *"New recovery codes generated. Store them somewhere safe — they won't be shown again."* Generating a new set invalidates the previous one. The badge shows how many codes remain.

If you are locked out

Contact your organization admin first — they can confirm your account status — then email support@mentorhq.com from your work address. Perform security changes only on a trusted device.
