Export a course as SCORM

Download a SCORM 1.2 shell of a published Mentor course.

Published Mentor courses can be exported as a SCORM 1.2 package for use in an external LMS. Export requires the View content permission (content:read).

Export

  1. Open Studio → Courses → your course. The course must be published — the export button does not appear on drafts.
  2. Below the builder, choose Export SCORM 1.2 shell.
  3. The download opens in a new tab.

What the export contains

The export is a lightweight SCORM 1.2 shell — a manifest plus a launch page that identifies the course and reports completion to the host LMS on launch. It is designed for LMS catalogs that require a SCORM entry for tracking, with the actual learning continuing in Mentor.

It is not a full offline copy of your lessons, media, and quizzes — interactive Mentor blocks (flashcards, labeled graphics, proof gates, and so on) do not have SCORM equivalents and are not embedded in the file.

When to use it

  • Registering a Mentor course in a corporate LMS that needs a SCORM object per catalog entry
  • Compliance systems that require a SCORM completion record

If you need learners to take the full course, assign it in Mentor or list it in your public catalog instead — see Publishing, assigning, and the catalog.
